Tour Plan

Day 01: Delhi – Leh (By flight)

Upon arrival at Leh airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. After checking in, take the day to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft/3500 m). Your overnight stay will be in Leh.

Day 02: Leh – Alchi – Leh

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Prepare for the day ahead and start your drive to Sham Valley. Along the way, make a stop at Likir Monastery to admire the impressive statue of Maitreya Buddha. Continue on to Alchi Monastery to see the thousand-year-old murals, renowned as some of the finest examples of Buddhist miniature paintings.

During your sightseeing tour, take in the phenomenon of Magnetic Hill, a gravity hill that stands as a natural marvel in the area. Additionally, honor the valor at the Military Hall of Fame, a museum and memorial established by the Indian Army to commemorate war heroes.

Conclude your eventful day with a return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Leh – Khardungla Pass -Nubra Valley ( Approx. 125 KMS/ 4-5 hours’ drive)

After breakfast, continue to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world. The valley is where the Shyok River and the Siachen River converge, creating a vast expanse that divides the Ladakh and Karakoram mountain ranges. Upon arrival, explore the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the valley. Admire the Maitreya Buddha statue, and later, visit Hunder Village and the cold desert, notable for being the only place in India where Bactrian camels can be found. Enjoy an overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 04: Nubra Valley – Leh

After breakfast, set out to explore Diskit and Hunder. Hunder offers a unique spectacle with its high-altitude sand dunes, making it one of the world’s rarest cold deserts. Take the opportunity to enjoy a brief camel safari on the double-humped Bactrian camels native to this area. (Please note that this is an optional activity and payment must be made on-site).

By noon, we will commence our drive back to Leh, where you will stay overnight.

Day 05: Leh – Pangong Tso Lake (150 km)

After an early breakfast, we will drive  Pangong Tso Lake. The beautiful lake displays multiple shades of blue taking your breath away. It is located on the Indo-China Border. Travel via the Chang La pass seat at an altitude: 17,370 ft., one of the highest mountains passes in the world.

On arrival at the Pangong lake site, enjoy the sights around. Here you can check-in at the fixed tent camp near the lake.

Day 06: Pangong – Leh (165 km)
